Site rebirth
My website is back online 😊 I had a rough time hosting it locally - mostly due to the pain of dealing with a dynamically assigned IP from my router - GoDaddy disabled API access so my script to update my DNS records no longer worked. So I decided to switch things up and host it on a Digital Ocean droplet. It’s not as cool as self-hosting, but it should be more reliable.
Most of the site is back up now, but I’ll probably need to fix a few things. I also decided to play around with some nice fonts for my blog that fit the retro vibe of my main homepage: “Pixelated MS Sans Serif” from 98.css and “Press Start 2P” from Google Fonts.
I also created art.craiglmccarthy.com for my creative coding and p5.js sketches - styled on Windows 98 BSoD.
